Gatorade will be available at selected drink stations along the course. A refreshment station with both water and Gatorade will be located just past the finish line.
All drink station locations are marked on the course map and there are portable toilets at each drink station.

To assist you with achieving your personal best, pacers will be provided by the Sydney Striders. Each Pacer will have a flag and will be wearing an identifiable Sydney Striders green and white singlet. The pacers time will be marked on the flag and back of their singlet.
There will be pacers for the following times:
- 80 mins / 1 hour, 20 mins
- 85 mins / 1 hour, 25 mins
- 90 mins / 1 hour, 30 mins
- 100 mins / 1 hour, 40 mins
- 110 mins / 1 hour, 50 mins
- 120 mins / 2 hours
- 130 mins / 2 hours, 10 mins

For slower runners, joggers or walkers it is important to be in the correct starting group. There are three groups in each race all seeded according to expected finish times. Your time will not be affected by your start group, as your timing chip will only start recording your time from when you cross the start mats. This will allow you to enjoy the event at your own pace and provide you with the best possible result.
The Sydney Marathon 21.1KM official results will be based on Gun Time. Participants will receive both Gun Time and Net Time on their finisher certificates.
Please note: all prams must be registered for the last wave (C group) and no wheelchairs are to be taken onto the Sydney Marathon 21.1KM course.
