Volunteer applications will open soon!

Want to be part of the action and amongst the fun 2023 Sydney Marathon? You’re invited to join our amazing volunteer team.
Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, meet likeminded people, and help us bring the event industry back to life after a couple of difficult years. Get involved on Sunday, 17 September 2023.
We are looking for you!
As a Sydney Marathon Volunteer you will be working with event staff, charities, community and sporting groups, students, and other individual volunteers. Volunteers are needed in a wide range of roles at numerous locations around the 42.125km of course on event day (Sunday, 17 September 2023) as well as in the lead up to event day at the ‘Running Show’ (Thursday, 14 September to Saturday, 16 September 2023).
No experience is required for most roles – just positive energy, a friendly attitude, and willingness to work within a team and take directions from other volunteers, team leaders, and supervisors.
